Sunago

What is Sunago?

Sunago (Greek): to lead together, to convene, or come together

We gather together for a weekend as fellow baptized and redeemed children of God. We gather together around our Lord Jesus Christ. We gather together in worship, prayer, psalms, and spiritual songs pointing only to Him. In our catechetical sessions, we gather together around our Lord’s living and active Word. And on Sunday, we gather together around the altar of the Lord.

This gathering reminds us of that heavenly gathering that is promised to all Christians who have been called out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.

In 2010, a small group of Lutheran pastors and lay people founded Carolina Lutheran Sunago to provide an opportunity for fellow Lutherans to receive, learn, rest, and grow in God’s great sacred mysteries and how such wonders impact everyday life. Guest Speakers through the years have included the likes of Rev. Dr. William Weinrich, Rev. Dr. John Bombaro, Rev. Dr. Adam Koontz, Rev. Dr. Jim Bushur, among others.
