Sunago (Greek): to lead together, to convene, or come together
We "gather together" for a weekend as fellow baptized and redeemed children of God. We "gather together" around our Lord Jesus Christ. We "gather together" in worship, prayer, psalms, and spiritual songs pointing only to Him. In our catechetical sessions, we "gather" around our Lord's living and active Word. And on Sunday, we "gather" around the altar of the Lord.
This "gathering" reminds us of that heavenly "gathering" that is promised to all Christians who have been called out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.
In 2010, a small group of Lutheran pastors and lay people founded Carolina Lutheran Sunago to provide an opportunity for fellow Lutherans to receive, learn, and grow together in God's grace.
